  • Download their backlinks (Moz, Majestic, Ahrefs)
  • In a sense, do a disavow, leave only the good links.
  • Group the links in categories: Blogs, forums, news,  articles, resource pages, etc

  • Try first to get a link on a page that also links to the competitors (good co-citation)

General advice for Facebook Advertising

  • Don't be afraid to loose money – you spend the money to get data
  • Test accurately, where do clicks come from, and where are they going – tracking is crucial, use sub-IDs
  • Scale campaigns throughout the day to get enough data
  • Your Facebook Ad history has an effect on the costs – if a lot of your ads got rejected, you probably pay more
  • You can us Facebook Ads for Apps to advertise in other peoples apps
  • Schedule a reporting on a daily basis – edit the default columns, and break it down by age and gender – and create separate campaigns based on that
  • Landing page optimization is very important (e.g. use Optimize.ly) – test headlines, call to action, background color, border style, etc.

How to scale campaigns

  • Use multiple accounts
  • Use invoice accounts (request it on the E-Mail tab), so you don't have to pay your ad spend each day
  • If you promote an affiliate offer, use www.wheregoes.com to figure out all the hops
  • Cut out the middle man: Go directly to the advertiser and skip the network, to get higher payouts (Afiliate networks basically function as banks for the merchant)
  • Add Lead Generation and CoRegistration to maximize your revenue!
  • Have a CPA (Cost per acquisition – what you are willing to pay per new customer), compared to just looking at revenue and profit
  • Be cautious if you promote rebills, and don't scale to quickly if you are not sure how long people are going to stick with the rebill

How to find your own product

  • Find a Private Label Rights (PLR) provider that offers a whitelabel solution, and use a product that has been approved by the FDA
  • Make sure to accept credit cards and don't use just PayPal (they shut down your account if you make too much revenue too quickly)
  • Have a CRM in place to handle customer care
